III. Old Business

 A.        Resource Center: Need new light in parking lot, and handicapped spots (Lynne will       call). Need Trashy volunteers – Town meeting Wed. Jan 23rd. Lynne will handle           making all trash cans match.

B.        Monthly Meetings: Sound is a problem

C.        Committees: Publicity Committee: nothing new.

D.        Seminars: Jan McNulty, Jim Boynton, & Phil Sullivan all have new entries.  June           Hollister will start up again soon.  Stan Ashbrook is scheduling.

E.        Website Updates: Tom will sign us up for photo website www.smugmug.com

F.         Alternative uses of Center: Socrates Café will continue - unanimous.

G.        Basics & Web 2.0 Initiative: We're exploring the possibility to hosting a Web 2.0 application.

H.        Fun Stuff CD: Chuck Vroman will burn CDs.  Jacinthe Dixon will design logo.

I.          Open House (Mar 15): We selected another Saturday for our next Open House & RAK. We authorized $200 – unanimous. 

J.         FACUG Fall Conference 2008: Venue is reserved for October 25th for $125.  Found a caterer also.

K.        A/V Lab: Lynne got a filing cab. Frank put in more memory & a DVD burner in the audio computer.  Jim Cook donated a USB 2.0 card.  We voted unanimously to drop the $2.50 charge.

L.         Auditing Committee:  Chuck Vroman will chair this committee.

M.        2600 Club: Unanimous vote to begin this group.

 

IV. New Business

A.        Millie: We can upgrade to QuickBooks Pro 2008 for $179 (after rebates).    Unanimous.

B.        Rudy Crawford showed us some customized key chains (at November meeting) for fund raisers.  We tabled this issue until next month.

C.        FACUG Spring Conference – unanimously $500 for up to 10 of our members to attend.
