Old Business

Resource Center:
We got a
key for entrance to the roof. George fixed the outside door to the new
addition. Kay Bazler added a new light switch to the Kitchen along with pulling
all the data cables, etc. for the new addition.
Monthly
Meetings: Cathy
Benedict has taken over 50/50 drawing, but we need to ask for volunteers to help
with the other drawings.
Committees:
The Publicity
Committee is off to a great start. They contacted several local libraries,
and will be able to mail them event advertising for us.
Seminars:
Jan McNulty, Jim Boynton, June Hollister, & Phil Sullivan all have new entries.
Website Updates:
www.LeapFish.com tells us that our domain name is worth about $12,000.
More updates yet to come.
A/V Lab:
Discussion: We began the discussion on
several items of importance: who will oversee, should we charge, certification,
rules about what software can be loaded and hardware can be connected? We
voted for up to $200 to purchase a VHS to DVD Converter?

Socrates Cafe scheduled for Wednesday, October 24.
Basics & Web 2.0
Initiative: Doc
continues to teach Windows and Internet basics during the Novice classes.
Squidoo & MySpace seminars were great! Thanks Sally Anne Dishong & Joel
Mikesell.
Fun Stuff CD (Doc):
Dale Atchison his
finished drafts of both CDs. Now we are looking for a few reviewers.
Publicity Luncheon (Sep 27):
Lynne, Millie, Doc, Suzy Maxon, and Marie-Dominique Alexandre will represent
us. (Unfortunately, none of the Publicity Committee was able to attend.)
Senior Health Fair (Oct 4):
Numerous volunteers
FACUG Conference (Oct 6):
Jim Boynton, Ron Kalmin, Carol King, Joel Mikesell, and Doc will represent TBCS.
Open House (Oct 27):
Food? Lori Maranto volunteered to co-chair.
We still need chairperson. Doc will ask for one at the monthly meeting.

New Business: Doc requested that an email vote be taken on the following
four initiatives:
- I would like to take our 2nd LCD projector with me to the FACUG
conference.
