III. Old Business

  1. Resource Center: Air conditioning, front door, & light outside clinic door remain undone.  Lynne's letter generated some movement.  While the front door is not yet fixed, the landlord claims that they had okayed the task, but the contractor dropped the ball.  They finally sent us our electric bill for the last several months.  The total was $2,874.31.  We voted to pay the bill as it stands Yes=9, No=0, but request detail billing in the future.  We still need key to electric service and will request it again.
  2. Committees: Looking for: Publicity Chairman.  We have been turned down again, but we continue to look in new areas.  Doc is going to look into the e-pinellas listserv.
  3. Seminars: Jan McNulty, Jim Boynton, & June Hollister continue to teach.
  4. Web Updates: MySpace: we have a basic site, but we need to send new content to our builder.  Website: Tom Lembke is working towards revamping our site.  B&B Editor: Virginia Chilcote has agreed to be our Editor.  Jim Cook will publish her output to our website.
  5. Moving money to higher interest accounts: Accomplished.  Treasurer moved $20k into 2 cds ($10k each).
  6. Purchase external CD/DVD burner & external hard drive: Tom Lembke purchased the burner, and was given permission to purchase the external hard drive.
  7. Alternative uses of Center: Not discussed at this meeting.
  8. Sunshine Center Computer Conference: We've been able to confirm 4 new members from this endeavor.  We will certainly come close to recouping our $300 investment and may ultimately generate several more members from the increased visibility we achieved at this event

IV. New Business

  1. New Vice-President: Jim Boynton was elected to be our new VP.  Yes=8, No=0
  2. Insulated Foam Board (Doc): Doc suggested we get 9 panels to cover the SIG room windows.  The project will cost about $100.  Yes=9, No=0
