1) General Interest

TBCS Helped WEDU collect almost $3,000 last week
Thanks to: Bonny Jones, Hank Lisheid, Bill De Lucia, Lisa Lowe, Howard Gray, Stan Ashbrook, Donna Ballard, Marianne Ryan, Chris Rodrigues, Craig McCorkle,  and Dennis Schulman for accompanying me.  We had a great time.  I had such a good time I forgot to take pictures.

-----

Don't Forget: Our December meeting this year will take place NEXT WEEK on Tuesday, December 15th.  Chuck Vroman goes on at 5:30pm followed by the full meeting at 6:45pm.  We have something special in mind so be sure to join us.  Also plan on joining us at Denny's after the meeting for an ad hoc Christmas party.

-----

Happenings at the Resource Center
We are moving apace in preparing the new room at our Resource Center.  We'll be installing 2 new projectors as well as a sound system and other goodies.

Our Secretary, Lynne Robertson, just purchased 38 new chairs which we've installed in the SIG room.  Hopefully, plenty of cushioning for those of us who need it.  <grin>

Tom Lembke's Video SIG will meet only on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month from 10am 'til noon.

Peter Summers is going to revive Spreadsheet SIG on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 1pm to 3pm starting on January 14th.

Care to donate to a good cause?

For the last 2 years, TBCS members have helped with donations to an ALF (Assisted Living Foundation) in Dunedin.  These people are adults who are mentally challenged.  They don't ask for much, and they are sooo appreciative for what they receive (several of us from TBCS went there last year to watch Santa deliver their gifts).

Bonnie Jones spearheads this drive.  She will end up doing an awesome amount of work to make this event happen.  I realized that it is short notice, but if you can get donations to us either at the Resource Center or at the Largo Cultural Center by next Tuesday, December 15th I know that Bonnie will ensure they have a Merry Christmas over there.  Thank you all for your generosity.

Here's their wish lists.
