1) General Interest

WEDU Needs Us!  Mon, 11/30, 6:30-10:30pm
I'm taking a crew of 14 people to WEDU's studio in Tampa next Monday night to help them with their pledge drive.  I still need 9 people.  Please respond ASAP if you can join the TBCS team.  So far I have drivers for the Largo, St. Pete, and On Top of the World areas.  This is a relaxing evening.  They feed us, we take pledges over the phone and enter them into the computer (it's VERY easy!), and we laugh a lot.  Come on out and join us.

I'm not worried about filling the commitment that I made to WEDU that I would show up next Monday with 14 people.  I will get the people.  However, I would prefer to get them from within TBCS.  Please come along and join us.  I'll assign carpools later this week.

If you are interested in joining us, please send an email to the Club Secretary.  It would be helpful if you tell us in your email if you can be a driver, or if you would prefer to ride with someone, AND roughly the geographic area you are in.

Changes at our Resource Center
Recently, our landlord repaired ALL the lights on our building.  It's a wonderful change.  We have never had as much light at our facility as many of us thought we should have.  It's almost like daylight out there now...  frequently, I see squirrels lying on their little backs... trying to get their bellies tanned.

We are in the process of leasing another 1,200 square feet of office space at our facility.  Our membership is increasing rapidly (we're over 1,200 members and growing).  I've had would-be SIG leaders who couldn't find an acceptable time for a SIG.  We're hoping that we can offer a lot more activities at our offices after we acquire some more space to grow in.  I'll keep you posted as the project moves forward.

FACUG Cruisers!

I believe you need to pay for the cruise by Nov 26... so, now's the time.

For those who want to get/upgrade their Passports... your time is running out too.  They CAN take 6 to 8 weeks to get processed.

BUSSES  -  I just finished getting all of the bus data last weekend.  Hopefully, we can announce a deal next week.

I have many email addresses for those interested in the bus... however, help me to minimize errors.  I don't want to miss someone.  If you would LIKE to ride the bus (I'm assuming that we can get tickets somewhere between $50 & $100), then please send an email to the Club Secretary.  If you are responding for 2 or more, please give both names.  Sorry for the added inconvenience, but I will compare it to the master list of registrations that FACUG sent to me.

Doc's Café: Wednesday, November 25, 7-9pm
Sure you're going to eat a lot of turkey tomorrow... that's no excuse not to come out and have fun the night before!  I have an awesome video for us to digest this month.  While I haven't introduced our group to this marvelous speaker yet... now is the time.  He is animated and very witty.  He makes what could be boring statistics come alive with his animated graphs.  Come and see why he's so popular.  Our topic for discussion afterward will be "what we should do to promote good health and robust economies on a global scale".  Ooh... sounds dreadfully boring... I assure you it will be lively, friendly, and fun.  Come join us!

The video will provide a backdrop for the ensuing discussion.  Please be on time.  Thank you.

Social Networking SIG: Saturday, November 28, 2-4pm

I found a guide to Facebook this week that I thought had some excellent information on some Facebook "best practices".  We'll discuss this info and learn more about Facebook as we go.

The document that we'll use has some very powerful tips.  If you apply some of them, it should surely boost the effectiveness of the time you spend on Facebook.
