VERY, VERY, VERY IMPORTANT! MESSAGE

We are moving our email list to a new home.

You MUST take action if you want to continue receiving the weekly Bulletin.

You will all receive an email from us within 24 hours that has a link to a subscription confirmation page.  You MUST click on that link to continue receiving our messages.

If you haven't been using the weekly Bulletin, but hadn't bothered to unsubscribe, here's your opportunity to let us just fade away.  You will only receive 2 more reminders and then we'll part company.

In the future, those who stay with us will be able to easily manage your own subscriptions from our webpage.  How cool is that?  Turn it off when you go North, and then re-subscribe when you return.

Health Update
Both Chuck and I are improving, but we are still coughing and unfit to be around other human beings.  We are canceling Computer Chat on Friday, and I won't be at Doc's Cafe tonight, but they will continue without me.  We will re-schedule the Windows 7 Launch Party very soon.

My mother suffered congestive heart failure last Friday.  She just finished a successful heart cath a few minutes ago... so I am greatly relieved and hopeful.

Chuck and I both appreciate all the kind words and thoughts you sent our way.

Doc says, "Goodbye" to the weekly Bulletin

I started publishing this weekly Bulletin on 10/22/2001 - eight long, long years and over 400 bulletins ago.  They are all stored on the web, and present a snapshot of the growth of our club during that time.

Lately, I've found it increasingly harder to get the Bulletin out each week, and have been looking around for a new sucker... er, volunteer... to take it over.  Chuck Oppermann has agreed to take it on for awhile, and I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

I've been unhappy with the format and style of the Bulletin for a long time, but wasn't willing to take the time to fix it.  I have been emailing it out in plain text format, but we are now going to send it out in HTML format, and I guarantee that Chuck will revise it dramatically.  I'm looking forward to seeing his imprint.

While the Bulletin has grown from about 300 subscribers to over 1,500 it will now take a serious drop.  Why?  Many of those no longer use it, but had never bothered to let us know.  Here's their chance to get rid of us for good.  <grin>

Thanks for all of those who have stuck with us over the years.

It's time to start using our wiki to hook up with other cruisers.  If you have registered already, please edit the wiki and give us a dollop of info about yourself:
