all meet at our Resource Center
(map:

All of our SIGs are free to our members.
SIGs are a great place to get more personalized attention, and get your
questions answered. The following SIGs will meet this week:

October 12, 1-3pm
Internet SIG.
Led by Roger Leer
This month we will examine an Information Retrieval BOT and learn how to
configure your own BOT and retrieve and store what you have collected.
We will start with simple sources like newspapers, magazines, and some
information portals. If there is sufficient interest, we can schedule
future sessions on more advanced techniques. We will also explore
using Web mail to retrieve your information from any computer. Cell
phones and PDA devices can be retrieval sources, but are best left for
the experts and we will not cover them. I consider this to be an advance
subject, but all TBCS members are welcome. We will only use FREE public
domain software and information sources.
