1) General Interest

Jim Boynton is speaking at TMUG this Wednesday, May 6
Jim will be speaking on eBay at the Tampa Microcomputer User Group (TMUG) Wednesday night.  Like us, they have a pre-meeting meeting that starts at 5:30pm and will be on Social Networking.  Jim will speak at 6:30.  One of our members, Rudy Crawford, is President of TMUG, and I'm sure they will welcome any of our members that want to drop by the Largo Library that night to join in the festivities.

3) SIG Stuff

Our SIGs (Special Interest Groups) all meet at our Resource Center
(map: http://www.tampa-bay.org/maps.htm).
All of our SIGs are free to our members.

SIGs are a great place to get more personalized attention, and get your questions answered. The following SIGs will meet this week:

Monday, May 4, 6:30-8pm
Computer Q&A SIG. Led by Cathy Benedict
Please bring your Internet, computer, and technology questions here.  This is a great SIG to get some individual attention to your technology problems.  Also tonight, we will access another computer remotely via Microsoft Live Meeting.

Tuesday, May 5, 1-3pm
Novice SIG. Led by Bill De Lucia
Bring Bill your questions.

Tuesday, May 5, 7-9pm
Broadcast: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/tbcs-live
Visual Basic SIG. Led by Tom Kiehl

Wednesday, May 6, 10am-noon
Digital Video SIG. Led by Tom Lembke
Tom will be teaching remotely (across the Internet)

Wednesday, May 6, 7-9pm
Excel SIG. Led by Motaz Ben Saoud
Formerly the Investment SIG.  Motaz is excellent at teaching Excel.  Some of his audience was coming more for the Excel tips than the investment info so he will focus on Excel in the future.

Thursday, May 7, 10am-noon
Scrapbooking SIG. Led by Jan McNulty

Thursday, May 7, 1-3pm
Hands-On Embird SIG. Led by Florence Osier

Thursday, May 7, 7-9pm

Doc's Place. Led by Dave Dockery
Everything You MUST Know About Word Processing!

Saturday, May 9, 1-3pm
PowerPoint SIG.  Led by Peter Summers
This is our last meeting until about September so I thought our time would best be served if I left the agenda open and we focused on questions and items that remain open in your minds.  If conversation stalls, however, I thought re-visiting the idea of "master slides" would be appropriate since that topic came up last month and we did not have time to deal with it.
Peter

Sunday, May 10, 1-3pm
