Stan Ashbrook's ProShow Gold 4.0
- STARTS THIS WEEK!

WEDU: Saturday, March 7th, 6:30-10:30pm
WEDU has asked us to
help them raise funds again on a Saturday evening in March. I only
have 4 volunteers so far. I need 10 more. C'mon and join us.
It's really a very pleasant outing. You'll have a good time.
The shows that will be airing
that night are:
7-9pm: "Welk Stars Through The Years" (Mary Loy Metzger will be live in
the studio), and
9-10:30pm: "Highland Heartbeat".
Please
send an email to the Club Secretary
if you'd like to join us. We'll arrange car pools for this junket.

Upcoming FACUG & APCUG spring
conference: March 13, 14, & 15 in Zephyrhills
$65 at the door (for TBCS members)
This is going to be a great conference. About 130 are already
registered, but wait 'til you see some of what's going to happen this
time around. The educational sessions are far different this time
than what you are used to. I view it as a "boot camp" for social
networking. If you are interested, here's
a lot more info.

Doc's Café This Wednesday night
7-9pm at the Resource Center
Socrates
Café
-->
Doc's
Café --> Doc's
Café. We keep evolving and changing. We still have the
flavor of Socrates Cafe, but I pick the topics and introduce them with a
short commentary or a movie. I'm not going to broadcast these for
now. It's not a suitable environment for it.
I found a very interesting and provocative movie for this month.
Does either "common sense" or "practical wisdom" exist? Our
society seems rampant with a bureaucracy where rules often fail us and
incentives often backfire. Failure to understand the links between
human psychology and economics can become enormous stumbling blocks as
we try to rebuild our economy.
Speaking of rebuilding our economy, here are 3 links you might want
to keep:
Recovery.gov: www.recovery.gov
The government's official tracking of the stimulus bill
What?! You don't trust your government? <grin>

Our monthly meeting at the Largo Cultural Center will be on MONDAY
night March 16th instead of Tuesday night March 17th (St. Patty's Day).
Please mark your calendars!
