This Bulletin is the latest ever...
I turned 60 on Monday (May 5th). I finally sobered up this
morning and realized that I had to write this. <grin>
Not really... I seldom imbibe strong spirits these days...
If the alcohol didn't kill me, either my wife or one of my many doctors
would.
My time this morning is very limited so here's what I'm going to do.
I have something very special and tasty for us. I'm going to write
about it, and I'm going to invite you to a party. I haven't gotten
TBCS Board approval for this, but I'm hoping they won't spank me too hard
for overstepping my authority.
Pangea Day is a world-wide event that will take place this coming
Saturday afternoon. During that 4-hour period, 24 short movies will
be streamed across the Internet. The movies were chosen from an
internationial competition of over 2,500 submissions. The films were
chosen for their inspirational messages and their global viewpoint.
Along with the films, there will be a live program that will include
visionary speakers. It will be broadcast in 7 languages via
Internet, TV, and mobile phones.
This promises to be a very special moment in the course of human
evolution. I plan on going to our Resource Center and watching the
show via our LCD projector. I'd like to invite all who want to come
on out and join me.
Let's make it something of an indoor picnic. I'll bring some
sodas & chips, we'll make an urn of coffee, if you feel up to it bring a
covered dish or a dessert. You might also want to bring a cushion.
The chairs in the SIG room are uncomfortable for 2 hours -- I assume that
won't improve over 4 hours.
Now, you can sit at home and watch Pangea Day in your underwear whilst
sipping mint juleps. However, to give yourself the treat of watching
an inspirational program in the company of TBCS friends has gotta be hard
to pass up. We'll have a fun time. Join us.
You do not need to be a TBCS member to attend this event. Come on
down and enjoy the afternoon with us.
