New Virus Alert for the "Mail Server
Report" email
Yes, there is a new virus alert out there that carries
the Warezov.W virus. Yes, it really exists. Yes, it is talked
about on Snopes:
http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/mailserver.asp
I would like to briefly address 2 key issues:
1. Outrageous claims are often made for viruses.
While you don't want to get one, they are seldom as nasty as described in
the email alerts.
2. I've seen a lot of emails lately that claim to be
checked out by Snopes -- but they really haven't been. Please take
those message with a grain of salt. Before you pass any of this junk
along, please check www.snopes.com
yourself.
