1) General Interest

FACUG Meeting this past weekend!
We had a great time!  Also, our website won a 2nd place for the best user group website competition.  Congratulations to our Webmaster, Tom Lembke!

Expression Web Meeting - This Thursday Night 7-9pm
Tom Lembke started a demo of Expression Web last Thursday night.  It was so informative that we've decided to do some more this week and next Thursday too.  Budding web designers would do well to hang out with us and learn.

Open House  -  THIS SATURDAY
It's that time!  Please come on by and join in the fun this Saturday.  I don't have time to describe the festivities yet, but it's coming later this week.  I'll let you know as soon as I can.  I also haven't yet assigned times to the RAK requests.  I promise to do it very soon.

RAK Computer Clinic at the Open House
Saturday, March 15th, 9am-2pm

Since we provide free computer repair to our members on an ongoing basis, I am asking that TBCS members DO NOT register for this one.  Please send the following to your friends and neighbors so that they may get a sample of our repair services.  Thank you.

2) TBCS Classes

Phil Sullivan's Hands-On Beginners Classes - THIS WEEK!
Four 2-hour classes on Tuesdays 10am-noon   $40 (NO make-up)
Since these are hands-on classes, they will be limited to only 12 people.
You MUST register for these (see below).

The next session will take place on: Mar. 11, 18, 25, & Apr. 1

All of our classes meet at our Resource Center in Clearwater.  The full class fee is due at the first session (cash or check please).  All classes come with a money-back guarantee if you're not happy with the instruction for any reason.

Our SIGs (Special Interest Groups) all meet at our Resource Center

SIGs are a great place to get more personalized attention, and get your questions answered. The following SIGs will meet this week:

Photoshop SIG. Led by Stan Ashbrook
I will show amazing new technology for resizing images.  In addition we’ll look into Layer Blending modes and show examples of how best to use them.  See you Monday at the SIG.

Internet Development SIG. Led by Dave Dockery
This SIG will now be partially website design, and partially looking at designing and optimizing with SBI sites.  The meeting, we'll be looking at the inner workings of SBI hosting accounts.

Digital Video SIG. Led by Tom Lembke

Board of Directors meeting.
Board meetings are open to all our members.
They take place at the Resource Center.

Spreadsheet SIG. Led by Bob East
Peter Summers will be filling in for Bob this month.

Thursday, March 13, 7-9pm
Web Design SIG. Led by Jim Cook
We had such fun and learned so much about webdesign with Microsoft's new Expression Web design tool, that we have decided to continue it with the next 2 Thursday nights.  This week will be the 2nd meeting and next Thursday (March 20th) will be the 2nd one.
