General Update...
Doc is
BIONIC now! Yes, I had a De-Fibrillator/Pacemaker
installed last week. They tell me that I'll be sore for a few weeks,
but that I can get back in the saddle as long as I don't raise my left
hand very high. I am not permitted to drive for a couple of weeks.
Since I
come to the Resource Center several times a week, I could use a ride over
the next couple of weeks. If you live in Palm Harbor or
thereabouts, and wouldn't mind driving me there occasionaly, please write
to the Club Secretary.
Thanks!
Our
meeting of the 2600 Club last Friday night was surprising. We
had 26 people show up for it. I really haven't done much to promote
it because of my surgery so it was wonderful to see such a nice response.
I expect to have more people at the next meeting.
Several
exciting things are happening at our club, but I don't have the time to
talk about them at the moment. Come to our Board Meeting on
Wednesday evening, 6:30pm, if you want to see what we're doing (or,
better yet, volunteer to help us out).
This
Thursday, February 14th is not only Valentine's Day, but I also celebrate
Random Acts of Kindness day on the same day. You don't have to send
flowers or candy, you don't have to join a club, you are only asked to
help someone in need of a kindness.

Upcoming Events:
Open House & RAK: Saturday, March
15th, at the Resource Center
We're going to try an XO
Computer SIG in April.
We have no idea if there are enough XO purchasers in this area to create a
viable SIG, but we're sure that if they are out there, they will need
some help. We'll let you know more as time approaches. The XO
computer is the one that was developed for the "One Laptop Per Child"
effort. You can find out more by visiting:
