1) General Interest

NEW   NEW   NEW   NEW   NEW   NEW   NEW   NEW   NEW   NEW

The PowerPoint SIG will meet THIS Saturday, January 12th, from 1 to 3pm.  Peter Summers will lead.

This SIG explores the many uses of PowerPoint, a software component of MicroSoft Office.  It has uses in both personal and business settings that will be explored.  You can use it to make a photo album complete with animation and sound, and then put it on a disk that can be used anywhere whether or not the software is loaded on that particular computer (great for gifts or just sharing family events).  In your business life you can use the program to create presentations consisting of slides, graphics and animation that will make any meeting more effective and enjoyable (and impress the boss).  It will also produce outlines and handouts that support the presentation.  The SIG is meant to introduce you to the software if you are a new user, and increase your skill if you are already familiar with it.
