Story 3 (Hands-On) by Jan McNulty - THIS MONDAY
Phil
Sullivan's New Hands-On Beginners Classes - STARTS THIS TUESDAY

Open House, RAK, & Socrates Cafe
Wow! Our Open
House on Saturday was the most successful one we've ever had! We
had almost 200 people attending, and boy did they have fun. This was
the first time that the Resource Center was filled all day long. I
want to thank the volunteers who worked to make it a success, plus the
crew who repaired computers for the day: you were ALL wonderful. It
was truly a delightful day. If you snapped a few pix, please email
them to the Club Secretary.
We'll post them soon.
Thanks also to those who showed up on Wednesday night
for Socrates Cafe. The group picked "How is technology
affecting our everyday lives?" to discuss that evening. Not only
did we have fun discussing that topic, I ALWAYS learn something new.
I tell you this is a very cool activity. You should join us next
month.

Audio/Video Studio Survey
We had over 30 people fill out our online survey at the
Open House. We're trying to get a feel for the services you need,
and the amount of involvement you need and/or want to contribute.
The survey is short (only 7 questions), and easy to fill out. You
have until the end of October to go online and participate:

June
Hollister will repeat her Microsoft Office Live Basics seminar
Friday night November 16th, 7 to 9 pm - FREE
Recently, Microsoft began offering their Microsoft
Office Live Basics websites for FREE. Not only will Microsoft give you a
website, website design tools, and so much more, they will even give you a
free domain name. Wow! There's just no excuse not to have your own
website if you want one.
June Hollister put together a 2-hour seminar on
everything you need to know to take advantage of this spectacular offer.
Several people have asked us to repeat this seminar and June has agreed.
She shows how you sign up, how you go about selecting your domain name,
how you use their website design tools, and more.
Here's more info on Microsoft's offer:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officelive/FX101534261033.aspx

 | 25 company-branded e-mail accounts |
 | Web site reports |

We are not requiring registration for this one, however
we filled the room with over 60 people the last time so I suggest that you
come early.
