Slide
Shows using Proshow Gold by Stan Ashbrook - THIS WEEK

TBCS is expanding once again!
I'm very pleased to announce that we have purchased more
office space at our Resource Center. We are going to set up
audio & video editing bays. Do you want to digitize some of
your old 33 1/3 records, remove the pops, hisses, and scratches, and then
burn 'em to a CD? Would you like to digitize your VHS tapes, add
titles and credits to them, and burn them to a DVD that will play on any
standard DVD player? Would you like to convert your 35mm slides to
JPEGs so that you can email them to your friends and family? These
are the kinds of services that we would like to make available to our
members.
Construction should be done within the next couple of
weeks. We'll see how the resource is used and "grow it"
appropriately. Adding software and hardware as we determine which
features are most desired and used by our membership.
I'll let you know here when this new resource becomes
available to you.

TBCS Website has a new look!
www.tampa-bay.org
The leader of our Digital Video SIG, Tom Lembke,
is a multi-talented guy. He has also been re-designing the TBCS
website. Tom not only re-designed the site, he had to master some
complex new software to do the job.
The site is, of course, still under construction.
There are key pieces that Tom didn't receive yet. We still have work
to do in several areas. Thank you, Tom, for an excellent
start.

Online Business Class - Advanced
A special thanks to John Lowe &
Joel Mikesell for kicking off the 5-week Online Business - Advanced.
They managed to review the 4-week Basic course in two hours.
They did a great job! We had around 30 people attend. June
will return this coming Friday night (July 27th).
There is sooo much more going on... My apologies
to all who wanted me to include something in this little bulletin, but I
just don't have any more time.

Shows using Proshow Gold by Stan Ashbrook - THIS WEEK
8 hours over 2
consecutive Saturdays: July 28 & August 4th, 9am-1pm $40
This is a hands-on course in our computer lab.
You must register in advance.
We have many ways today to share our photographs.
One that is gaining popularity is creating a slide show with your digital
images. An affordable but powerful software program for creating digital
slide shows is Photodex’s Proshow Gold. This class will teach all aspects
of creating a slide show including: importing images, making minor
enhancements, selecting transitions, timing, captions, adding panning and
zooming, a soundtrack, and voice over narration.
