WEDU Pledge Drive - LAST Week
Just a note to say that we only garnered a bit over $1,300 for PBS last week, but we had a ton of fun.  Thanks to all of you who were part of our team: Kay Bazler, Jacinthe  Daigle-Dixon, Pat Doubleday, Ed Everett, June Hollister, Pat Johnson, Carol King, Brenda Leong, Sam Mack, and Ron Vagnier.

3) SIG Stuff

Our SIGs (Special Interest Groups) all meet at our Resource Center

All of our SIGs are free to our members.

SIGs are a great place to get more personalized attention, and get your questions answered. The following SIGs will meet this week:

Monday, June 11, 1-3pm
Internet SIG. Led by Roger Leer
Roger has an ambitious schedule of subjects for this session: Virtual Memory swap file, Dead Pixel Reincarnation, Anonymous Web Surfing, Freeware sites, Update your installed software programs automatically, Password Recovery, Computer Security, Keylogger software (free download), Vista tips and tricks (plus more Vista voice recognition, if time permits).

Monday, June 11, 7-9pm
Photoshop SIG. Led by Stan Ashbrook
We'll continue our look at integrating Lightroom with Photoshop CS3 and CS3’s new features.  Adobe released an update to CS3 Bridge and Adobe Camera RAW.  You can download this from their web site.  We will look at these new improvements. The Camera RAW upgrade is also good for Photoshop Elements 5.0.

Internet Development SIG. Led by Dave Dockery
Tom Kiehl will grace us with his presence once again.  Tom is going to instruct in the use of WordPress.  WordPress is very popular blogging software, AND it is FREE.  Visit Tom's VB SIG Blog for more info: http://blog.vbsig.com.  If there is any time left over, Doc will initiate a discussion about Web 2.0.  As always, we'll retire to O'Keefe's afterwards for adult libations.
