1) General Interest

Vern Goheen Update:
Vern is the feller who oversees the drawings that we have each month at our General Meetings.  Recently, he was admitted to the hospital with light chest pains.  Tests revealed that he needs a couple of bypasses and a replacement of his aortic heart valve.  Vern will be having lower jaw surgery the first week in June which will be followed by open heart surgery several days later.  Please send good wishes his way.  I'll keep you posted.

Free Introduction to June Hollister's Online Business Class!
June Hollister is going to repeat her popular Online Business class!  She is expanding the class (but not the price).  This coming Friday night she will give an introduction and overview of her methods.  She will follow this free session with her 4-week "Internet Online Business Basics" on the next 4 Friday nights in the month of June.

Have you thought about having your own web-based business, but didn't have a product to sell or didn't know how to get started?  June's course can keep you from going down the many dead-end paths that have stopped so many others from having a viable website.  Not only is June a knowledgeable instructor, but her students have also formed a resource group so that they can share information and techniques with each other.

Why don't you join us this Friday night at the Resource Center from 7 'til 9 pm.  This is a no-risk way to see if you are interested in taking her course.

WEDU Pledge Drive
Monday, June 4, 7-10 PM in Tampa: 1300 N Boulevard, Tampa 33607
We're going to take a crew of 12 volunteers to WEDU's studio to take incoming phone pledges during their pledge drive.  The first hour is orientation and food (pizza, drinks, & chips) followed by 2 hours of answering the phones.

We still have a few openings for volunteers.  Please let me know that you'd like to go so that we can set up car pools soon.  If you are interested in joining us, please send an email to the Club Secretary.
