Dell is Returning Windows XP!
Dell announced last week that they are returning Windows
XP to their consumer and home-office PC lines. You will have your
choice between WinXP and Vista when you order a Dell computer. They
are responding to the message that some people as well as some business do
not want to upgrade to the new operating system at this time.
My only concern in this change is that you don't
purchase a machine running Windows Vista Home Basic. I would
definitely advise using one of the more robust versions. See Vista -

Story 3 (Hands-On) by Jan McNulty
4
hours (2
two-hour sessions) 10am - noon $20
2 Mondays: 4/30 & 5/7 - You MUST register for this class.
Photo Story 3 is
the FREE software that comes from Microsoft that helps you to build movies
from your photos. We had a Photo Story 3 contest several months ago.
Many of you asked afterwards if we would have classes again. Photo Story
software helps you to build photo albums with transitions, movement,
narration, and music. Not only can you get very professional looking
results, but the software is really very easy to use.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 is out and available. I
attended an intro program at the Adobe InDesign SIG in Tampa recently.
Unfortunately, I do not have CS3 to show, but I can give a short report on
what I witnessed about the InDesign portion of CS3. I did get a
little info on the PhotoShop portion as well as the seven various CS3
groups of Adobe programs. After our Q & A portion of the meeting, we
will continue with the excellent instructional video for InDesign.
