Random Acts of Kindness at the Palm
Harbor Library on Feb. 15th
We will soon be shutting down
registrations for this event. We're almost filled. You can
find the info you need by going to last week's Bulletin on the web:

"Socrates Cafe" at the Palm Harbor
Library 6-8pm - This Wednesday
I know some others will enjoy this as
much as I did. The library started a discussion group called
"Socrates Cafe". Several topics are considered, then one is voted on
for discussion (last month it was "Can religion and science coexist?").
The group has blossomed from 12
attendees to 36 in only three months. I found the discussion
informed, civil, and lively. They meet on the first Wednesday of
each month, and I hope to be at all of them.

Doc's Back on the Radio! Much
Cheering Ensues! <grin>
I've been
asked to co-host a radio show by my friend Dave Gerber. The
show originates from a mall in Sarasota, but I get to phone in my part
from my house in Palm Harbor - ain't technology grand?
Bits & Bytes Radio
Show (WIBQ am1220):
9-11am each Saturday morning
Everyone can listen to the show LIVE on their computer:
www.bitsandbytesradio.com
Note: You can also enter their
Chat Room or click your way to "Doc's Vista Visions" on
their Bulletin Board.
There is a toll-free
phone number (866-952-1220) you may call to ask
questions on hardware, software, and the Internet. "Why would I want
to call in?" you might ask. Well, they have a drawing for prizes
each week from amongst their callers - and there's not that many.

Thanks to sooo many volunteers!
Last Friday morning I asked for some volunteers to bring some computers
from Tampa. I had almost a dozen volunteers! Thank you so much
for offering. It means a lot. We already have the computers,
and Frank Bucca has already got a couple ready to donate to those in need.

Story 3 is the FREE software that comes from Microsoft that helps you to
build movies from your photos. We had a Photo Story 3 contest
several months ago. Many of you asked afterwards if we would have
classes again. Photo Story software helps you to build photo albums
with transitions, movement, narration, and music. Not only can you
get very professional looking results, but the software is really very
easy to use.
