1) General Interest

Random Acts of Kindness at the Palm Harbor Library on Feb. 15th

Historically, Random Acts of Kindness week has been celebrated during the same week as Valentine's Day (makes it easier to remember).  We're going to celebrate it for the first time in 2007 the day after Valentine's Day.  Our RAK computer repair crew will be at the Palm Harbor Library on Thursday, February 15th fixing computers for the public at one of our FREE clinics.

You do not need to be a TBCS member to take advantage of this service.  We invite the general public to join us in our unique way of celebrating the concept of performing random acts of kindness.  So please let your friends and neighbors know that they are welcome.  They MUST, however, pre-register for this event.  Please go to:
www.synergypublishing.com and click on the "Register" link at the top of the page

The Digital Video SIG is coming!  THIS WEEK
Wednesday, January 24th, 10-noon

We finally have a SIG leader for a Digital Video SIG.  His name is Tom Lembke, and he's a glutton for punishment because he's going to lead the SIG twice a month: the second and the fourth Wednesday of each month.

Digital Video is something of a misnomer because Tom plans on dealing with digital audio also.  Many of our members want to digitize their record albums, cassette tapes, and VHS tapes and burn them to CDs or DVDs.  This is the SIG that many of you have been looking for.

2) TBCS Classes

June Hollister's Free Online Business Introduction  -  THIS WEEK!
Friday, Jan. 26th  7-9pm

This will be a free seminar introducing an Internet Online Business on any imaginable topic, with no product, (and here's the good part) no financial investment, with no technical skills. The seminar will touch on all the topics to be covered in her next class.  Registration is not required for this seminar.

Internet Online Business by June Hollister
June's online business course will be taught as three 4-week sessions (a total of 12 weeks).  Each 4-week session will cost $40, and will take place on consecutive Friday evenings from 7 - 9pm.  You may register for all three sessions (Basic, Advanced, & Marketing) for $120, or you may register for an individual session for $40:

Basic: February 2, 9, 16, & 23
Advanced: March 2, 9, 16, & 23
Marketing: March 30, April 6, 13, & 20

Photo Story 3 (Hands-On) by Jan McNulty
4 hours (2 two-hour sessions) 10am - noon   $20
2 Mondays: 2/5 & 2/12  -  You MUST register for this class.
Photo Story 3 is the FREE software that comes from Microsoft that helps you to build movies from your photos.  We had a Photo Story 3 contest several months ago.  Many of you asked afterwards if we would have classes again.  Photo Story software helps you to build photo albums with transitions, movement, narration, and music.  Not only can you get very professional looking results, but the software is really very easy to use.

Announcing 4 NEW classes by Jim Boynton.

Feb 14  1-3pm   Backup
Feb 21  1-3pm   Digital Camera
Feb 28  1-3pm   Picasa
