1) January 21st Monthly Meeting

You're gong to feel really stupid if you go to Clearwater Central Catholic High School on Tuesday night! - the rest of us will be at the Largo Cultural Center.  We will, however, have a photographer waiting to take your picture at the high school.  Seriously, don't miss out on a great meeting at our new venue because you forgot that we've moved.

We'll be hosting 2 of our favorite speakers that night: Dave Gussow & John Torro from the Tech Times magazine that appears every Monday in the St. Pete TimesDave has recently returned from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and he should be up on all the latest gadgets & software.  John writes the very popular "Solutions" column that explains how to fix all of those annoying computer problems that we experience.

Lots of meeting changes are taking place.  We're trying to end the meetings at 8:45 these days, the Cultural Center will be selling lattes that night (should be good to warm us up), and we'll be sending several lucky people home with prizes - including a copy of Windows XP Professional.

Our meetings are always open to the general public so please feel free to bring a friend or two with you and join in the festivities.

2) TBCS Website Info

Have you visited the TBCS website lately (www.tampa-bay.org)?  Our website is a vast collection of information both old and new.  Our website is 96 Megabytes in size.  We have several years of the Bits & Bytes archived there as well as current information from meeting information to club business.

If you want to join us or renew your membership, you can do it online from our website:
http://tampa-bay.org/online_renew.htm
If you want to come out to one of our meetings or drop by our Resource Center, directions and maps are on our web:
http://tampa-bay.org/maps.htm
If you want to find out what SIGS are available or what club events are coming up, check the web:
http://tampa-bay.org/calendar.htm
We publish ALL documents related to the functioning of our club on our site - bylaws, financial information, minutes of our Board meetings, etc.:
http://tampa-bay.org/boardbiz/
Have trouble finding the info you're looking for, we use Google's Search Tool on our site to help you locate info:
http://tampa-bay.org/Search.htm

I think that our club does an excellent job of using our website to communicate with our members.  Other computer clubs may have had websites before we did, but I don't see any that, in my opinion, use it nearly as well as we do.  Check it out and see if you agree.
